Kamal Bahadur Shah of Congress submitted his claim for the Chief Ministership of Far West

Dhangadhi. Kamal Bahadur Shah of the Nepali Congress has submitted a claim for the Chief Ministership of the Far Western Province.

After the official decision of the Congress parliamentary party meeting held this morning, Shah submitted the claim to the provincial chief Nazir Mian.

With the support of UML, Shah submitted his claim to the Chief Minister. According to Article 920 of Article 168 of the Constitution, the Chief Minister had given time till 5 pm today to submit the claim to the Chief Minister.

Shah will become the Chief Minister for the second time with this. He had previously led for 14 months and resigned on March 22 after the political equation changed.

The way for Shah to become the Chief Minister again has been opened after the resignation of the United Samajwadi Party’s Long Sodari, who became the Chief Minister when the realignment was changed.

Provincial Assembly members Bahadur Singh Thapa, Diwan Singh Bista and Prakash Bahadur Deuba from the Congress were also in the race for the Chief Minister of Far West. However, since Shah, who had been the Chief Minister before, could not work for a long time, an agreement was reached to form a government under his leadership to complete the rest of the work.

Party Chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba also instructed other aspirants to support Shah as Chief Minister.
